I would like to point out that the movie also contained an excellent portrayal of male and female roles, both individually and paired together in romance. This is true for all the main characters, whether robots (WALL-E and EVE), or humans (John and Mary, the Captain). I was pleased to see a movie with such high production values have such good role models. I watched it twice.
